The County of Greer was created in 1886 by Org. by Texas, to Oklahma by court decision. The County Seat is located in Mangum, Oklahoma where some of the TOTTY'S and their descendants lived.

FUNERAL RITES HELD FOR MRS. M.A. WALL FROM OCINA AUDITORIUM

Was 75 Years Of Age; Died Suddenly Of A Heart Attack

Mrs. M.A. WALL, 75 years old, died suddenly of a heart attack at her home north of Willow, Tuesday afternoon, January 17th.

Minnie Ellen TOTTY was born November 22, 1874, near Forestburg, Montague County, Texas.
She was baptized in the Christian church in 1894 and continued a member of this church during her lifetime. On November 4, 1894, she was married to Melvil A. WALL. To this union were born nine children, eight of whom survive. Mrs. WALL came to Greer County with her husband in 1901 and had made her home at the same location since that date.

Funeral services were held from the Ocina school auditorium Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock p.m. with Rev. W.L. French, Carter, officiating. Interment was made in the Willow cemetery.

She is survived by her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Ola FRANKLIN of Willow, Mrs. Gaynell BURNHAM and Mrs. Mildred HENRY, both of Oklahoma City,[Oklahoma County, OK] Mrs. Yvonne JOURNIGAN of Calamesa, [San Bernadino County] California; four sons, Jack of Lompoc, [Los Angeles County] California, Lewis E., Pat D., and M.A. jr., all of Willow. Also: One brother, L.P. TOTTY of Delhi [Beckham County, OK]; two sisters, Mrs. Mae KELLEY, Gainesville, [Cooke County] Texas, and Mrs. Myrtle EDWARDS, Weinert, Texas; sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. All were present for the final rites.

Among other relatives attending funeral services were: Mrs. Jack WALL, Lompoc, [Los Angeles County] California; E.B. BURNHAM and Forest HENRY and son and Bob TOTTY, all of Oklahoma City; [Oklahoma County, OK] Mr. and Mrs. Bid TOTTY, Abernathy,[Part Hale & Lubbock County] Texas; Mr. and Mrs. Claude COX and Bobby, Petersburg,[Hale County] Texas; Mr. and Mrs. Leslie CHRISTAL and daughter, Amarillo, [Potter County] Texas; Edd WALL, Shamrock, [Wheeler County] Texas; Emmett WALL, Sayre,[Beckham County] {OK} and Emory WALL, Elida, New Mexico.
