Totty  Roots

The County of Beckham was created from Roger Mills County in 1907 from the Cheyenne-Arapaho Lands.    Beckham is located in Western Oklahoma near the Texas boarder.   The county seat is located in Sayre.  Thus far we have only found the following  TOTTY & related families in this county.

William C. Totty -  Mar 6,1859 and died Nov 24, 1928
Samuel Baird Totty born July 23, 1901 and died June 6 1961   Stone is marked Oklahoma Pvt CAC World War II
Notes:   CW]  While in the Tx Panhandle & Okla over the past weeks, I went to Berlin and Delhi Oklahoma 'ghost towns'.  I was looking for information of other lines of the family;however I came across two Totty graves in the Dehli cemetery.  William C. Totty & Samuel Baird Totty above.    Does anyone have any info on these two Totty's?  Could Wm C be the son of
William and Malena Tucker Totty who married Ida Dodson?  I have a general birthday for him of 1860 and no other information.   I took pictures of the tombstones.  Both towns had great red granite markers showing their history, but little
else remains.   The Delhi  (pronounced Del  HI') cemetery is quite large.  I can't say for sure that there weren't anymore Totty's there as I just did a quick run through.  This town is in Western Oklahoma, not far from the Tx border.

ADDENDUM NOTES - BTM] William Carroll TOTTY, Jr. was the son of William Carroll TOTTY, Sr. and Malena Jane [TUCKER] TOTTY;  He was married to Carrie Margaret Unknown TOTTY.   W. C. TOTTY, Sr was the s/o Robert and Matilda [Easley Estes] TOTTY.

Lina Lou (PRATHER) TOTTY - August 30, 1881 - October 27, 1980
Lembert Pird TOTTY, Jr. - July 13, 1918 - February 3, 1919
Notes:  Shirley Harding]  Lembert Pird Totty & Lina Prather Totty (son of Lewis Henry Totty).  He was born in 1879 and passed away in 1975.  She was born in1887 and passed away in 1980.  They have a son, L.P. Totty Jr born July 13, 1918 and passed away February 3, 1919.

Notes:  SH] Foy Gilbert Prather and wife Minnie A. Ford Prather.  Foy was the son of Estelle Totty Prather (daughter of Lewis Henry Totty)  He was born in 1900 and passed away in 1968.

James Pierce KELLEY - October 28, 1906 - November 11, 1973
Bessie Viola (THOMPSON) KELLEY - April 26, 1910 - September 6, 1985
Notes: SH] James Pierce Kelley and wife Bessie Thompson Kelley.  He is the son of Mary Malena (Mae) Totty Kelley (daughter of Lewis Henry Totty).  He was born October 28, 1906 and passed away November 4, 1973.

Ponder Alvin KELLEY - December 20, 1894 - April 15, 1972
Anna Gladys (HARRIS) KELLEY - November 16, 1898 - October 28, 1973
