The County of Dickson was created in 1803 from Montgomery and Robertson County, Tennessee.   Montgomery and Robertson County were part of the original County of Tennessee created in 1788 and surrendered the name when the State of Tennessee was created in 1796..

Notes:  [BTM] Daniel was married to Indiana Territority PARKER b: 1811.  Moses SPENCER is later found in the HH of Capt. F. M. TOTTY and Rhoda (SPRADLING) TOTTY in the Cooke County, Texas 1860 Census. Rhoda was the half sister to Daniel SPENCER.  Their mother was Susannah PARKER-SPENCER who married David SPRADLING the father of Rhoda TOTTY.   Rhoda and Capt TOTTY later lived and died in Montague Co., TX.

Notes;  [BTM] Mary Ann LANKFORD died in Williamson Co., TN on August 7, 1908.

TOTTY, Miss Lillie Mai, 25, died Jan. 1916.  She ws found dead one mile east of Dickson with bullet wound....formerly lived in Totty's Bend in Hickman Co.  "Had made Dickson her home being an inmate of a bawdy house in eastern suburbs of Dickson."   Buried in Nashville.   Dickson Co., Herald  4 Feb. 1918.
[BTM]  Could this be the dau/of  Thomas S. and Tennessee Jennie Duncan TOTTY family.   She is of the right age etc. to be a daughter of T. S. & T.J. Totty.  Anybody else know who she belongs to?

TOTTY, Bennie,  20, died July 1922, son of Mr. and Mrs. Will TOTTY; buried in family cemetery on Nails Creek.

TOTTY, T.S. 89, died 5 June 1919.  Confederate Soldier.  Had Been blind for 25 years.  Buried in family burial ground on Yellow Creek.
