The County of Cannon was created in 1836 from Coffee, Warren & Wilson. Coffee which was created in 1836 from Franklin, Warren, & Bedford. Warren from White in 1807. Wilson from Sumner in 1799. Franklin was from Bedford and warren in 1807. Bedfor from Rutherford in 1807 & Rutherford was created from Davidson in 1803. Sumner from Davidson in 1783 from Washington that covered the present State of Tennessee in 1777. The county seat is located in Woodbury, TN. The State of Tennessee was created in 1796..
