The County of Haskell was created in 1908 from Checokee Lands.  The county seat is located in Stigler, OK.

1900 November 4th   Birth  Adrain TOTTY, Hoyt, Haskell County, Oklahoma
[BTM]  s/o Robert Martin and Elizabeth (Carlton) TOTTY.  Adrain TOTTY died November 1995, in Waurika, Jefferson County, Oklahoma.



1901  December 7th  Birth  Ora TOTTY, Hoyt, Haskell Co., OK
[BTM] Dau of Robert Martin and Elizabeth (Carlton) TOTTY.  Adrain TOTTY died November 1995, in Waurika, Jefferson County, Oklahoma.


1902 March 15th  Birth  Clifton TOTTY, Hoyt, Haskell County, Oklahoma
[BTM]  Clifton TOTTY was the son of Robert Martin and Elizabeth (Carlton) TOTTY.  He died in March 1985, possibly in Eufaula, Oklahoma.  He married 1) ORA HISAW;  He married 2) RUBY.  Children of Clifton and Ora HISAW are:
1] Norma Jean TOTTY; b. September 26, 1926, Hoyt, Harmon County, Oklahoma; d. May 24, 2001, Pleasant Valley Nursing Care Center, Muskogee, Oklahoma. 2] Bob TOTTYwife SUE; 3] Pat TOTTY, m. Don CARPENTER; 4]Alice TOTTY, m. Jack GAMER; 5] Jo TOTTY, m. Mr. BENTON; 6] Leo TOTTY, m. Bonnie Unknown; 7] L. T. TOTTY, m. Samye Unknown; 8] Jarrett TOTTY, m. Barbara Unknown; 9] Adrian TOTTY, m. Billie Unknown.


1903  January 3rd  Birth   Wilmoth Elnora HOLDER, Hoyt, Indian Territority, OK
[BTM]  daughter of George HOLDER and Catherine CROWDER.  She died May 1978 in Hoyt, Haskell County, Oklahoma.


1904  July 3rd   Birth  E. Hershell TOTTY, Hoyt, Haskell County, Oklahoma
[BTM]  Hershell was the son of Robert Martin and Elizabeth (Carlton) TOTTY.   He died February 1983, Hoyt, Haskell County, Oklahoma.   He married Wilmoth Elnora HOLDER, daughter of George HOLDER and Catherine CROWDER.  She was born January 03, 1903 in Hoyt, Indian Territority, and died May 1978 in Hoyt, Haskell County, Oklahoma.


1908 March 3rd  Birth  Alva CARLTON, Hoyt, Haskell County, Oklahoma
[BTM] Mother was Orlean TOTTY and George M. CARLTON.  Orlean (Totty) CARLTON was the daughter of A. C. TOTTY and sister to Robert Martin TOTTY.


1918 September 22nd  Burial  A. C. Totty, Hoyt, Haskell County, Oklahoma, in Hoyt Cemetery
[BTM] A. C. TOTTY was the father of Robert Martin TOTTY and Orlean TOTTY CARLTON.  We still need to identify who his parents were.


1918  Death   Rudolph TOTTY,  Killed in action WWI, buried in Hoyt Cemetery, Hoyt, Haskell Co., OK.


1920 February 5th  Birth  Hoyt CARLTON,  Hoyt, Haskell County, Oklahoma
[BTM] Mother was Orlean TOTTY and George M. CARLTON.  Orlean (Totty) CARLTON was the daughter of A. C. TOTTY and sister to Robert Martin TOTTY.


1924 November 9th   Death  Henry Boone CARLTON, Hoyt, Haskell Co., OK
[BTM] Father of Elizabeth Carolton, wife of Robert Martin TOTTY.  He was born November 25 1842 in Jackson Co., AL
He married MARTHA A. MATTHEWS May 17, 1866 in Jackson County, Alabama.  She was also born in Jackson County, Alabama, and died in Hoyt, Haskell County, Oklahoma.


1926  September 26th  Birth  Norma Jean TOTTY,  in Hoyt, Harmon County, Oklahoma,
[BTM] According to her obituary she died May 24, 2001 in Pleasant Valley Nursing Care Center, Muskogee, Oklahoma.  She married first Raymond May RHODEN.    She married second Dail STACK.


1928 January 21st  Birth   Kenneth CARLTON, b. January 21, 1928, Hoyt, Haskell County, Oklahoma;
[BTM] Kenneth was the son of George M. CARLTON and  Orlean TOTTY.


1928 May 8th  Birth  Billy June TOTTY, Hoyt, Haskell County, OK
[BTM]  Billy June was the daughter of Hershell and Wilmoth (Holder) TOTTY.  She married Bobby Gordon DUKE, son of Herbert DUKE and Edith CULBERTSON.

1930  Febraury 17th  Burial  of Mary (Unknown) TOTTY, Hoyt, Haskell County, Oklahoma
[BTM] Mary was the wife of A. C. TOTTY and mother of Rudolph TOTTY, Robert Martin TOTTY and Orlean (Totty) CARLTON.  The cemetery records show she was born  24 Nov 1861.



1936  October 3rd  Burial   of Ora TOTTY, Hoyt, Haskell County, Oklahoma  Hoyt Cemetery


1948   Death of George M. CARLTON, Hoyt Haskell Co., OK
[BTM] George was the son of Henry Boone Carolton and brother of Elizabeth (Carlton) TOTTY.  He married Orlena TOTTY, sister of Robert Martin TOTTY.  Children of George CARLTON and Orlean TOTTY were, 1] Othra; 2] Golda; 3] Alva; 4] Sylvia; 5] Opal; 6] Doris; 7] Hoyt; 8] Kenneth; 9] Dallas Carlton.


1949 August 22nd Marriage  of Billy June TOTTY and Bobby Gordon DUKE in Hoyt, Haskell County, Oklahoma
[BTM] Billy June and Bobby DUKE, later had boys named Gordan Wayne and Steven Carlile DUKE.


1959 April 4th   Burial Robert Martin TOTTY, Hoyt
[BTM] Robert Martin TOTTY was the husband of Elizabeth (Carlton)  TOTTY, d/o of Henry Boone Carlton. He was buried in the Hoyt Cemetery.


1970 November 1st  Death  of  Elizabeth (Carlton) TOTTY, Hoyt, Haskell Co., OK
[BTM] Elizabth was born March 05, 1880, Jackson County, Alabama.  She married Robert Martin TOTTY ca. 1899-1900 in Oklahoma, son of A. C. TOTTY.  He was born February 24, 1884 in of Hoyt, Haskell County, Oklahoma, and died April 04, 1959 in Haskell County, Oklahoma

2001  May 28th  Newspaper Obituary  [Muskogee Phoenix & Times Democrat, Monday 28 May 2001, page 6 Section A]
Norma Jean Stack, 74, passed peacefully in the hands of the Lord on Thursday evening, 24 May 2001 at the Pleasant Valley Nursing Care Center.  Norma was born in Hoyt, Oklahoma 26 September 1926 to Clifton and Ora (Hisaw) Totty.
She was a 1947 graduate of Muskogee General Hospital School of Nursing, and worked for Dr. Jack Reynolds for several years and for the V. A. Hospital, retiring in 1987.   Norma was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ora and Clifton Totty, by her dear step-mother, Ruby Totty, her beloved husbands, Raymond May Rhoden and Dail Stack and by two brothers, J. E. Hopkins and Bob Totty and his wife, Sue. Those left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Raymond Gene and Patty Rhoden of Fort Gibson; two step-daughters and their husbands, JoAnn and Dino Sanders of Kingfisher and Judy and Wayne Milligan of Muskogee; three sisters, Pat Carpenter and husband, Don of Oklahoma City; Alice Garner and husband, Jack of Shreveport, Louisiana; and Jo Benton of DeQueen, Arkansas; four brothers, Leo Totty and wife, Bonnie of Tulsa; L. T. Totty and wife, Samye of Orange, California; Jarrett Totty and wife, Barbara of Sierra Vista, Arizona; and Adrian Totty and wife, Billie of Muskogee; five grandsons, Jeramy Rhoden and his wife, Marsha, Dwayne Milligan, Tommy
Milligan and his wife, Jenny and Jerry and Jackie Jenkins; three grand-daughters, Amy Sallee and her husband, Shannon, Alisha Milligan and Heather Milligan and her fiancé, David Bailey; seven great-grandchildren, Lindsay and Aaron DuPriest and Dalton Rhoden, Shane and Sydni Sallee, and Gage and Jacob Milligan.   Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 29 May 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the  Boston Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Perkins officiating.  Internment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.  The family has entrusted the Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home with the
arrangements.
