Notes:  The PROBASCO family was formerly found in the Brown Co., KS census records for 1870

1885 Silverdale, Cowley County, Kansas State Census.  page 16, line 7, HH#91/77.
PROBASCO, Nathan S.     Came to Kansas from Indiana, born in New York.

1884 January 28th   Death   Nathan S. PROBASCO
Notes:  [BTM]  Nathan S. PROBASCO was the husband of Susannah S. (Carr) PROBASCO and father of Hulda Mae PROBASCO.   Some researcher's believe that Nathan PROBASCO's middle name is Sacket(t).  I believe this to be highly likely an error, because there is no documentation of the name Sacket on any record.    All the "records" and research 1940-1970's from my grandmother Birdie L. (COMBS)  HOISINGTON, the daughter of Nathan's dau. Hulda May PROBASCO show that his middle name was "Samuel", which go along with the naming pattern of that day.   I also have the pension records, which DO NOT have a middle name listed as Sacket as stated by some researcher, the pension records, census records etc.,  Only has the middle initial "S", I have found NO evidence that his middle name was any thing other than what my grandmother had written in her Bible, as did my mother Lorena Pearl (Hoisington) TOTTY, great grand daughter of Nathan Samuel PROBASCO and Susannah CARR.

1908 November 30th   Death Hulda Mae PROBASCO COMBS
Notes:  [BTM]  Hulda Mae (PROBASCO) COMBS was the mother of Birdie Lorena (COMBS) HOISINGTON.  He was married to Albert Grant COMBS on May 8th, 1904 in Kay County, OK.   She had another baby named Claudie Miller COMBS on November 20th, 1908.   Per personal conversation with my Grandmother Birdie Hoisington before she died in 1979, she stated that her mother Hulda Mae Probasco Combs died 10 days after the birth of Granny's only sibling/brother, named Claudie Miller Combs.  Great Grandma Hulda died from complication with the cersarean birth.  Birdie was raised by her father Albert Grant Combs and his 3rd wife Effie R. Haycraft Combs in Kay County, and Logan County Oklahoma.
